Katun river rafting. 

7 days, middle section.

            Katun means «princess» in the Altai language, and it is the most regal and beautiful of all the Altai rivers. Her exhilarating, rolling rapids offer exciting adventure, yet this thrilling river is easily accessible by first-time rafters. This spectacular 120— mile journey offers pristine alpine scenery, with a number of remote Altai villages along the way, where you can watch wool being spun on a hand spindle.

Itinerary

Dates 2018 :  June 25 -July 02 ; August 18-25

Day 1:  Arrival Barnaul. Depart for 9-hour bus trip to the village of Yaloman. Short rafting. Overnight  in tents.

Days 2-3:  Rafting down the Katun river, rapids class 3-4, where you’ll experience wilderness,( rapids “Ilgumen”,“Kadrin pipe” ,“Shabash I, II”), taiga and mountains, with dinner around the campfire.

Day 4:  A day of rest. Fishing, sauna,  and sightseeing 5,000-year-old petroglyphs.

Day 5:  Rafting down river. Overnight  in tents.

Day 6:  Rafting down river – rapids “Teldeckpen”, “Elandinskiy”. Trip finish. Depart by bus for a six-hour trip to Barnaul. Overnight  in hotel “ Barnaul ”(B).

Day 7:  Depart  from Barnaul.

LAND COST: USD 775  per person (min 12 participants)

Payment: Deposit  30%  not late 45 days prior to departure, final payment 20 days prior to departure.

Rates quoted are per person, based on sharing double accommodations.
